On the 29th and 30th August 2025, we had an OPEN EVENING and OPEN MORNING to welcome pupils and families, past and present, to come and have a walk down memory lane.

Throughout Term 1 and Term 2 of the 2025-2026 session, we have had a whole school project on the Victorians which culminated in a WHOLE SCHOOL TRIP to Hopetoun House on the 3rd December 2025.

On Wednesday 17th December 2025 we hosted, with the help of our Parent Council and the Colinsburgh Town Hall Committee, Colinsburgh Primary Schools’ VICTORIAN CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION.
The children of Colinsburgh Primary marked the school’s 150th anniversary with a performance exploring Victorian Christmas traditions. They began with scenes showing simple homemade decorations and acts of charity, followed by the introduction of the Christmas tree and the invention of crackers and cards. A lively adaptation of A Christmas Carol highlighted the importance of kindness, and the evening ended with a dance inspired by The Nutcracker. Through drama, music, and storytelling, the children shared how many of the traditions we enjoy today began in Victorian times.
Teas, Coffees and Hot Mince Pies were served and everyone was able to buy crafts made by the children and local crafters, as well as take part in the tombola and the raffle.
