Transforming Learning

The Transforming Learning in Fife strategy reflects a bold commitment to building a better future for every child. Digital learning and teaching helps to ensure pupils have the tools and skills to thrive in a digitally driven world.
As part of this vision, class teachers received iPads in November 2025 and have been engaging in professional learning to enhance digital pedagogy. In January 2026, children in P6 and P7 will receive their own iPads.   One of the greatest strengths of this approach is its inclusivity and creativity—iPads offer adaptable features and tools that can help meet the needs of all learners, supporting accessibility and personalised learning.

Cllr David Ross, Fife Council Leader, said: “Our ‘Transforming Learning in Fife’ strategy reinforces our commitment to building a better future for Fife’s children. Digital learning and teaching are now critical for our pupils and schools. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to improving educational outcomes and ensuring that every young person has the tools needed to thrive in a digitally driven world. Our digital devices in schools strategy reinforces our commitment to a ‘Fairer Fife’ and supports our ongoing work to improve the lives of all our young people.”

Class Teachers were issued with their own IPAD in November 2025 and have been undertaking professional learning to support the Transforming Learning in Fife strategy.  Children in P6 and P7 will be issued with their own IPAD in January 2026
