First Aid
The safety and wellbeing of our pupils is our highest priority. Our staff are trained to provide appropriate first aid care when needed. To ensure families are fully informed, we follow these procedures:
- Recording Treatment:
If your child receives first aid treatment during the school day, details of the incident and care provided will be recorded in our First Aid Record. - Communication with Families:
The relevant page from the First Aid Record will be scanned and emailed to the parent/carer for their information. - Head Injuries:
If your child sustains a bump to the head—of any severity—we will contact the emergency contacts listed in the order provided on your annual data capture forms. This ensures you are aware and can monitor your child appropriately.
