Children in P1-5 are all currently entitled to a free school lunch. Children in P6 and 7 can enjoy a school lunch for £2.50 per day.
The menu for August 2025 to July 2026 can be found of the following link in a variety of languages:
Our school lunches are prepared in Waid Academy and delivered daily.
Lunches can be pre-ordered online through the iPayimpact system up to 3 weeks in advance OR your child can order in class first thing each morning. It may be helpful to look on the links above and discuss the menu with your child to help them decide what they would like on each day.
Special Dietary Requirements
Should your child have a specific dietary requirement e.g. a specific food that they cannot eat for health or religious reasons, please complete the online special dietary requirements form. Special Dietary Requirement Form. Our catering assistant, Tammy, and our catering manager will arrange to meet with you to discuss how best to fulfil your child’s needs.
If your child prefers a vegetarian diet there is a selection of suitable dishes on the menu every day and you don’t need to complete a Specific Dietary form.
Fife school meals do not use any ingredients containing nuts, but some products may be made in a non-nut-free environment. You can check the recipes online on this link.
Free School Meals
Free School Meals / School Clothing Grant
Whilst children in P1-5 currently receive free-school meals, children in P6 and P7 are required to pay £2.50 per day. Some families may qualify for free school meals. You can find out more information on the link above.
We encourage families with children in P1-5 who may qualify to apply for the free school meals and clothing grant as this grant will mean your child can have free milk in school and families receive support towards the cost of school uniform. As a school, we also receive funding to the amount of £1200 for every child in our school who is registered for free school meals – everyone is a winner!
Packed Lunches
Packed lunches can be brought in from home to be eaten at the same time as those having a school lunch. Please no glass bottles or fizzy juice.
Home Lunches
Some children who live in the village chose to go home for lunch. Lunch time starts at 12.35pm and children must return no later than 1.20pm for afternoon lessons.
