At Colinsburgh Primary School we encourage all our P7 pupils to become Junior Sports Leaders.

Active Schools Junior Leader Training programme empowers young people to take an active role in school life by developing their confidence, leadership skills, and responsibility. Through the programme, pupils help shape decision‑making, promote extra‑curricular opportunities, and support the delivery of a wide range of sport and physical activity clubs within the school.

Junior Leaders plan and deliver engaging physical activity sessions during lunchtimes or after school. They also contribute to school‑wide action plans aimed at improving the quality and variety of sport and physical activity on offer. As part of their role, pupils promote their clubs, lead activities, and play an important part in the school’s progress towards achieving the School Sport Award.
