Children have opportunities to use puppets to bring stories to life and re-tell in their own words plus numerous opportunities, both inside and out to extend their language and literacy skills.<\/p>\n<p>We regularly have Book Bug sessions in the nursery led by Pauline the librarian from St Andrews library. We will however be extending this as a member of staff has now been BOOK BUG trained so will be inviting our new children into the school to share a session with us as part of their transition into school.<\/p>\n<p>In the nursery garden we have our Outdoor Recipe book in which we have been writing our creations from our guddling area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Language and literacy is integral to the daily life of the nursery, with a rich variety of resources and opportunities to support a child&#8217;s learning.
