13\/06\/2025<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nAfter discovering that there was a lengthy wait for a Silver Accreditation visit, the group decided to make a decision as to whether to continue on the accreditation journey after the summer holiday.<\/p>\n

World Book Day: <\/strong>Article 17 \u2013 The right to reliable information from the media<\/strong><\/p>\nArticle 29 \u2013 the aims of education<\/strong><\/p>\nArticle 31 \u2013 The right to relax, play and take part in cultural activities<\/strong><\/p>\nInternational Women\u2019s Day: <\/strong>Article 2 \u2013 The convention on the rights of the child applies without discrimination.<\/strong><\/p>\nWorld Water Day: <\/strong>Article 24 \u2013 The right of good healthcare, clean water, nutritious food<\/strong><\/p>\nArticle 27 \u2013 The right to food, clothing and a safe home<\/strong><\/p>\n03\/03\/2025<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nDuring our recent school inspection by HMIE, the children spoke knowledgeably and confidently about their rights: this was praised by the inspection team.\u00a0 They also observed Children’s Rights being threaded through the teaching and learning.<\/p>\n
Grace, Spencer and Georgie from our RRSA committee have created a playground charter to ensure children’s rights are respected throughout the school day.\u00a0 This was introduced to the children at a recent assembly.<\/p>\n

<\/strong><\/p>\n08\/01\/2025<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nWhen planning teaching and learning for the coming term, teachers will make explicit links to Children’s Rights where appropriate.\u00a0 This will include engaging with age- appropriate news stories to support knowledge of global issues and making links to rights.<\/p>\n
26\/11\/2024<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\nPupil council\/RRSA steering group have been discussing the ABCDE of rights:<\/p>\n
A<\/strong> rights are for ALL<\/strong> children<\/p>\nB<\/strong> rights are there at BIRTH<\/strong><\/p>\nC<\/strong> rights CANNOT<\/strong> be taken away<\/p>\nD<\/strong> rights DO NOT<\/strong> have to be earnt<\/p>\nE<\/strong> all rights are EQUALLY<\/strong> important<\/p>\nWe presented the ABCDE of rights at assembly on Monday 25th November and made sure all the staff were there to hear about it too. In school we have made a board for the rights respecting school journey and this information will be added to it. We will also be putting up posters about \u201cABCDE of Rights\u201d in the windows of the school so keep an eye out.<\/p>\n
by Analeigh<\/strong><\/p>\nWe started our journey in September 2024.\u00a0 Pupil Council agreed to be the steering group to work towards our RRSA.<\/p>\n
We submitted our Bronze application (which included our Silver action plan) in November 2024 and were delighted to have it accepted and awarded Bronze Rights Committed by mid-November 2024.<\/p>\n
