Digital Leaders are children with a natural interest in technology who want to share their knowledge with others and support the ways in which we use digital technology to improve learning across the school.<\/p>\n<p>Being a Digital Leader is a great opportunity to take on responsibility, learn new skills, develop and demonstrate leadership skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What our Digital Leaders do<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some of the tasks that our digital leaders are responsible for include:<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Helping staff get computing equipment ready and organised (charging and logging-on laptops and iPads)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Keeping laptop trolleys neat and tidy, ensuring laptops are plugged in and charged ready for each class to use<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrating how to access and use programs and apps using Glow (e.g. Microsoft Word, Powerpoint)<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Trying out and review new apps, websites and programs which could be used in lessons<\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Demonstrating new technology in the classroom<\/p>\n<p>And this year, we\u2019ll be helping the school to achieve the Digital Schools Award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digital Schools Award<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are very excited to be on our Digital Schools Award Scotland journey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is The Digital Schools Award?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a national award to promote, recognise and encourage a whole school approach to the use of digital technology. Schools that complete this programme will receive a nationally recognised Digital Schools Award accredited by Education Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>Look out for more updates as we continue our learning and progress to achieve the Award.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why did our Digital Leaders want to join the group?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Nate \u2013 I enjoy using computers and helping other classes learn<\/p>\n<p>Myla \u2013 I wanted to learn more about coding<\/p>\n<p>Emily \u2013 I wanted to help the school learn about digital technology.<\/p>\n<p>Aisha \u2013 I joined digital leaders because it would be fun and you can learn a lot.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Our Digital Leaders At Carnegie Primary School, we have a super team of ten Digital Leaders.
