Child Protection

All children and young people in Fife have a right to be cared for and protected. We all have a part to play to ensure that you are safe and your needs are met. Here in Fife, we believe that “child protection is everyone’s job and everyone’s responsibility”. Your welfare is very important to us all and we take that very seriously.

Carnegie Nursery has a Child Protection Policy to ensure any concerns are reported and acted upon. All staff receive annual training to ensure the highest standards are met within our Nursery and School setting.

Our Child Protection Co-ordinator is Donna Parker (Depute Head).

Our Deputy Child Protection Officer is Avril Foster (Depute Head)

If you are concerned that a child or young person may have been harmed or may be at risk of harm, it is essential that you share your concerns.

You can speak to any staff member, to any of the management team, or directly to the Child Protection Unit on 01383 312 300.

If you consider a child(ren) or young person to be in immediate danger, DO NOT WAIT, call Fife Police on 999 or 0845 600 5702.

The Fife Child Protection web pages offer more detail on child safety issues.
