Literacy by Connor<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have been learning about pronouns in Grammar with Miss Bell and with Mrs Fleming we have been learning how to write a detailed information report which includes headings and sub-headings.\u00a0 So far we have researched about the Titanic and 9\/11 to write these.<\/p>\n

For comprehension we can choose hard, medium or easy questions about our book the Nowhere Emporium by Ross McKenzie. We complete spelling tasks everyday and once a week we learn cursive handwriting and we\u2019re allowed to use pens!<\/p>\n

Maths and Numeracy by Harris<\/strong><\/p>\n

For maths we have been learning more on place value, some of us are learning really big numbers!\u00a0 We have been using Leckie maths books for our work with Miss Bell.<\/p>\n

We took part in a National Maths competition called Times Table Rock Stars and we had to answer as many questions correctly for 60 minutes everyday for 3 days.\u00a0 We came third out of all the schools in Scotland and 2nd<\/sup> out of all the primary schools who took part.\u00a0 We were super proud of our achievement!<\/p>\n

For maths with Mrs Fleming, we have been learning about 3D shapes and we made a poster showing a net of a 3d shape and the properties of that shape.\u00a0 It shows the number of faces, edges and vertices (corners) there are on each shape.\u00a0 We have also learned the difference between a prism and a pyramid.<\/p>\n

STEAM \u2013 Science, Technologies, Engineering, Art and Maths by Ryan<\/strong><\/p>\n

Food Science: For science, we have been learning to cook, we\u2019ve followed instructions to make Pancakes, Burgers and Chocolate Chip Cookies, and more to come!<\/p>\n

Technology: We have been checking websites to see if they are reliable, or if they just want money for you to buy products!<\/p>\n

Arts: Miss Bell is teaching us Perspective, like the further away something is, the lighter it will become and the closer it is the more colourful or darker it is!\u00a0 We have also learned some skills in Calligraphy with Mrs Fleming, we have used these skills to create door plates for Wonders we have created from our class novel.<\/p>\n

Health and Wellbeing by Cohen<\/strong><\/p>\n

This term in Primary 7 we have learned about water, fire and electrical safety.\u00a0 We know how to keep ourselves safe and what to do in an emergency.<\/p>\n

In P.E we have learned skills in outdoor hockey.\u00a0 We have practised shooting, passing, dribbling and about having special awareness in a game situation.\u00a0 \u00a0We are competing in a Fife Primary 7 Indoor Hockey competition in November.<\/p>\n\n\t\t
