{"id":246,"date":"2021-10-03T13:46:21","date_gmt":"2021-10-03T12:46:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/canmoreprimaryschool\/?page_id=246"},"modified":"2022-07-18T20:42:59","modified_gmt":"2022-07-18T19:42:59","slug":"our-eco-committee-team","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/canmoreprimaryschool\/our-eco-committee-team\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Eco-committee Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #008000\">Our Eco-committee Team<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>At Canmore, we are very proud of our achievements and these achievements come through hard work, dedication and <span style=\"color: #008000\">Resilience<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>This dedicated and ongoing hard work can clearly be seen in the work of our Eco-committee as they lead the school in our drive to be aware of, and show <span style=\"color: #008000\">Responsibility<\/span> for, our environment.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">Each year a representative from each class joins our Eco-committee team. \u00a0This is a role that many children are keen to take part in which in itself shows the enthusiasm Canmore pupils have for caring for environment. \u00a0Our\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\" data-contrast=\"auto\">Eco-Committee is made up of the pupil representatives, staff members and usually parents or community members.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\" data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Canmore is very proud to be one of only a few schools with Green Flag status as having earned\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">6\u00a0Eco\u00a0Flags<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"none\">The Green Flag Award is an internationally recognised achievement for schools and nurseries committed to Learning for Sustainability. Flags can be seen flying outside schools all over Scotland.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">To achieve this, a school must show its commitment to Eco issues and how it is ensuring sustainability for the school and wider community environment. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Canmore ensures Eco issues are integrated with projects throughout the school, pupils are Eco-minded and ensure frequent litter patrols and outdoor learning days to focus on environmental issues.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffff00\"><a style=\"color: #ffff00\" href=\"https:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/education-and-learning\/eco-schools\/\">https:\/\/www.keepscotlandbeautiful.org\/education-and-learning\/eco-schools\/<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our Eco-committee Team At Canmore, we are very proud of our achievements and these achievements come through hard work, dedication and Resilience.
