{"id":69,"date":"2021-03-26T11:04:01","date_gmt":"2021-03-26T11:04:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/calaiswoodschool\/?page_id=69"},"modified":"2021-03-26T11:05:29","modified_gmt":"2021-03-26T11:05:29","slug":"dark-rooms","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fi\/calaiswoodschool\/our-school\/areas-and-resources\/dark-rooms\/","title":{"rendered":"Dark Rooms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">We all have access to an adjoining dark room from each of our classrooms which we are able to access for a variety of purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff\">The dark room is a small room which is painted entirely in black.\u00a0 The lighting can be dimmed to suit and there are also ultraviolet lights which can be used if desired.\u00a0 Many of us use the dark room as a quiet place to take some time to relax away from the bright lights and noises of daily classroom life.\u00a0 For this reason there is often a comfy area with cushions, pillows and mats where we can lie down and chill out!\u00a0 The dark room is also a useful environment for those of us who have a visual impairment to explore resources and materials again without the bright lights of the surrounding classroom environment.\u00a0 Occasionally a class dark room will be transformed where appropriate to assist with teaching.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all have access to an adjoining dark room from each of our classrooms which we are able to access for a variety of purposes.
