If your child turns five by 18th August 2027, they will start P1 in August 2027. If they turn five by 28 February 2028, they can start P1 in August 2026 or stay in nursery for an extra year. It’s important to chat with your child’s key worker before deciding, and choices should ideally be made by the end of January 2027. Children turning five on or after 1 March 2027 stay in nursery another year. You only need to reapply in January 2027 if you want to change their setting or placement. Children starting P1 in August 2027 should enrol online in January 2026.

If you don’t live in our catchment area you should be aware that attending our Nursery does not increase the chance of your child having a place at our school for P1.
