Early Entrants Room<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Early Entrant\u2019s current learning topic is Scotland and the World Cup. They have been learning about Scotland and its history. They have created an amazing learning wall displaying all their learning and fun they have been having in nursery:<\/p>\n

The children have been making tartan out of all the craft materials, flags, decorating biscuits:<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

We also learned some Scottish songs and had a display table for the children to explore. The children recently enjoyed a Scottish themed lunch with some shortbread to finish.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

Through the week the children had the mini kickers in to do a football session, in which they loved participating in. They learned lots of new ball skills and were practising their gross motor skills. \u00a0We have also been lucky to have Mrs Creighton\u2019s son in to play his bag pipes for all the children and celebrate the start of the world cup.<\/p>\n

It has been a busy term and the children have all had train trips to Kirkcaldy Museum. This gave every child the opportunity to travel by train and learn about the history of Kirkcaldy. The children learned about the miners and made mosslings out of all the natural materials to take home.<\/p>\n

We have also been visiting the Care Home and building up relationships with some of the residents. Children gain patience, empathy, and unique perspectives, while seniors experience a boost in mood, cognitive stimulation, and a renewed sense of purpose:<\/p>\n

All the children are experiencing Beach Kindergarten this term at Lower Largo Beach. They have been searching for sea creatures, building sand models and paddling in the water.<\/p>\n
