Literacy:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have continued our learning about nouns, verbs & adjectives .We have been playing lots of online games on Topmarks and Wordwall. We now know that nouns are names for things, people and places such as Buckhaven, Mrs Barr or a chair. Verbs are doing words such as signing, eating or sleeping and Adjectives are describing words such as big, red, hairy or brave.<\/p>\n

We have continued to work on our communication skills. Taking turns and communicating with others in different ways such as using our words, our feelings mat, our talkers and by sign along.\u00a0\u00a0 We have been demonstrating different signs at assembly and are beginning to use in the playground too.<\/p>\n

Numeracy:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have been learning how to add numbers together. We have been playing lots of adding games on Topmarks. We are learning to use a number line to \u2018jump up\u2019 and find the answer. Some of us have even been doing sums by adding hundreds, tens and ones. We check our answers using a grid.<\/p>\n

Health & Wellbeing:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are still enjoying our lunchtime Boccia club. We are developing our team work skills this session by playing games against each other to get team points. We are also working with the East Fife Community coaches for Football on a Wednesday morning. We are learning different skills and moves to help us move the ball more confidently. \u00a0In gym, we have been developing our gross motor skills by doing different obstacle courses \u2013 using our jumping skills has been important.<\/p>\n

Other Learning:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We enjoyed world book day where we got to dress up as our favourite characters and spend the day reading books and exploring words, characters and stories. We have also recently enjoyed a trip to The Rings Farm. We got to feed the baby lambs. It was lots of fun.<\/p>\n

Star Moments<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mrs Barr is very proud of Damien this term. He has been joining his friends in\u00a0 the lunch hall. He is showing super listening and independence skills by following the routines in the hall and clearing his own things away.<\/p>\n

Geordie has impressed Mrs Barr with his use of the Meta Skills. He has been using his imagination and curiosity during Literacy activities by asking some very intriguing questions.<\/p>\n
