We are exploring different words beginning with our focused phonic sounds. Most of our learners are working on s, a, and t. Some learners are working on ai, ie, and ou. We have been exploring Nursery Rhymes and selecting using technology and choice boards. Green Room have been focusing on Humpty Dumpty, Incy Wincy Spider, Hickory Dickory Dock, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Jack and Jill. We have been exploring a variety of differnet stories to spark our exploration and enhance our imagination this session. From our stories we have been exploring different activities themed around each story to support our knowledge and understanding.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy &#8211;<\/strong> In Numeracy, we have been exploring the concept of number and developing our number awareness. We have been using a variety of resources e.g. numicon, diens, different objects to share different amounts of the number and counting cubes. Some of our learners have been working on number of the day to develop our conceptual awareness, alongside engaging with different challenges to support<\/p>\n<p><strong>HWB &#8211;<\/strong> We are increasing our opportunities throughout the learning day for sessions focused on sharing, turn taking and awareness of others around us. Some of our learners have been able to communicate their act of sharing with their peers and adults. To support our learners, we have been exploring a variety of different sensory opportunities and emotional regulation tools to allow the development of personalised recipes for our learners.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Context for Learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our Context for Learning has been themed around Spring and Growth. From our context of learning we have been exploring the world around us. We have been exploring babies; humans and animals. We have been exploring signs of spring; developing our fine motor skills to create cherry blossom trees, engaging in community walks to notice signs of Spring.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Trip<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We had a fantastic opportunity to visit the Rings Farm for a lovely Spring experience. This was a fantastic outing filled with meaningful, hands-on learning. Our learners had the opportunity to;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meet and observe the lambs up close<\/li>\n<li>Feed the mother sheep with pellets of food<\/li>\n<li>Feed the baby lambs milk from the bottles<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy lots of lamb cuddles, which lots of us loved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We also explored the play barn, making use of loads of different play opportunities.
