A Wonderful Day of Centenary Celebrations at Blairhall PS & Nursery<\/b><\/div>\n
On Friday 19th September, our school and village came together for<\/div>\n
a truly memorable day, marking 100 years at the heart of our community. It was a day filled with laughter, memories, and togetherness, celebrating our past while looking forward to the future.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The celebrations began with a procession through the village, walking a path towards the community centre and the site of the original school before returning home. We were led by Comrie and Inverkeithing Pipe Band.\u00a0 The children from our Nursery gave us the perfect send-off, waving enthusiastically as we set out.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Later in the morning, we were delighted to welcome special visitors for a Centenary Tea Party. Over cups of tea and cake, stories were shared and friendships rekindled, reminding us all of the strong bonds that have always connected our school and community.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Families and guests then joined us for a joyful Celebration Assembly, where children shared songs, poems, and reflections about what the school means to them. A highlight of the day was the launch of our Time Capsule, filled with letters, drawings, and treasures from today\u2019s children to be discovered by future generations.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
At lunchtime, families gathered for a Centenary Lunch, rounding off the school day with food, fun, and plenty of smiles.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In the evening, the school once again opened its doors to the wider community for a special\u00a0Centenary Open Evening<\/b>. Visitors were invited to explore a wonderful \u2018museum\u2019 of children\u2019s work and old photographs, as well as enjoy tours of the school. It was a fantastic opportunity for past pupils, families, and friends to share memories, see how the school has changed, and celebrate its rich history together.<\/div>\n

The centenary was a true celebration of community spirit \u2014 a day that will be remembered for many years to come.<\/div>\n
