Just a reminder, as per the school calendar, the school will be closed on Monday, 6th May for the Public Holiday. The building is closed to staff and pupils.
For health and safety reasons, we would like to advise parents and carers that it is essential that pupils are dropped off at the front of the school at the designated “Drop Off Zone”. It is not safe to drop off pupils at the back gates of the school.
Thank you for help with this matter.
Mr D. Trowell
Dyslexia Fife is delighted that Dyslexia Scotland is bringing its Parent’s Master Class and Roadshow to Memorial Hall, Markinch on Thursday, 25th October at 6.45pm. There should be something for everyone during this event with the youth group also running in the evening. Refreshment will be provided.
We are also looking for new committee members this session to enable us to run a full program this year. Please get in touch if you are able to help.
A number of group and faculties now have their own Twitter accounts to help them share important subject or event information with pupils, parents/carers and the wider school community: see below.

@BBHS_ExpArts [Expressive Arts]
@Bellbaxter_hwb [Health & Wellbeing]
@ilcbbhs [International Languages]
@BBHS_Literacy [English & LRC]
@BBHSModStudies [Modern Studies]
Look out for a new Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Twitter account being created in the near future.
The school uses a number of tools to disseminate information to pupils, parents, carers and the wider school community: see below. We feel it is important to share information about the working life of the school e.g. events, achievements, changes, new initiatives.
Please take a look at some of the online platforms – in addition to the school website and Groupcall – we use and “follow us” on Twitter and Facebook:
Parents and carers can register with the school app – information will be sent out next week – to receive information straight to their mobiles.
