A “Bringing parental involvement alive in Fife” event is to be held at Rothes Hall, Glenrothes on Saturday 20th January, 2018 running from 10.00am – 12.30pm.
This event aims to bring together parents from across the whole of Fife to share information relating to parental engagement, and to provide an opportunity to discuss:
- recent developments in education, nationally,
- the Parental Involvement Strategy for Fife,
- ways that parents can be more involved.
Anyone interested in attending the event should email Donna Cessford by Friday, 15th December.
Well done to everyone who was involved with Cupar’s Christmas lights switch on event at the weekend. A special ‘well done’ to the samba band and Vertigo, Fife Schools’ “Battle of the band” winners, for excellent performances during the afternoon.
It was certainly a game of two halves for the U14s boys’ football team who lost to Grove Academy this afternoon. The boys left themselves with a mountain to climb at half-time, but an excellent second half performance saw the match end 5 – 1 to Grove.
Many of the second year pupils study the novel ‘Trash’ in English. As a response to this work, the manager of the Cupar Foodbank, Fiona Findlay, came into school to address some pupils about the work of the foodbank in the local area.
All English classrooms will have a collection point where donations for the foodbank can be left. We would really appreciate it if the wider school community could support us in this venture.
The next Parents’ Evening will be held in the school on Thursday, 7th December for S1 pupils in classes 1.01 – 1.06.
A new appointments booking system – see links below – will be used by the school to enable parents and carers to book appointments with staff. Parents and carers will receive a copy of the “How to book an appointment” letter via Groupcall over the weekend.
The booking system will be open from Saturday, 25th November and will close for appointments at 11.00am on the 7th December.
Please contact the school if you have problems booking an appointment for the Parents’ Evening.
