Well done to the group of S1 and S2 gymnasts who performed a fantastic routine at the 10th Annual Fife Schools Gymnastics Festival held at Levenmouth Academy on Tuesday.
The girls were joined at the festival by over 300 other gymnasts from across Fife.
Thank you to Fife Active Schools for the photograph.
Congratulations to our DAS pupils who raised a magnificent £114.90 on Tuesday for Marie Curie following a sale of daffodils, cacti, boxes of Creme Eggs, chutney and cards. Well done to Ms Davies who won the chocolate Easter egg.
The junior DAS class have been looking at recycling and life cycles of plants in Science with Mrs MacLeod and it was this which influenced the group’s choice of charity – Marie Curie is represented by the daffodil.
The charity will receive a combined donation, a second sale will be held in the school on Friday by Mrs Kerr, over the next few weeks.
The S2 netball team participated in Fife Schools’ Netball tournament on Friday, 23rd February. The team had mixed results in the group stages, but gained a respectable 12 points to come 4th in their group enabling the girls to progress into the cup competition.
In a tough competition, the girls got through to the quarter-finals against St Andrews High School finally losing 4-0.
This was a valuable and very enjoyable experience for such a young team.
Mrs Barbour will now be the excursion leader for the Switzerland trip and all communication should be directed to her.
Please note, there is a meeting on Thursday, 22nd February at 12.45 pm in Room 423. It is essential that all pupils attend and bring their passports with them.
