Bell Baxter awarded DLC Duke of Edinburgh’s Award status

Bell Baxter was officially recognised as a Direct Licensing Centre (DLC) for the internationally acclaimed Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme.  This means that the school is a licensed organisation able to deliver the award to our pupils and partner groups.

Miss Doig (DofE Manager) was joined by third year pupils Chris Sanderson, Kirsty Armour, Christina Orr and Ethan Burkin at a a ceremony held at Queen Anne HS last week to mark the handover of licensing for the award to Fife schools.

The new licence and plaque were handed over to the Bell Baxter representatives by Gayle Gorman (HM Chief Inspector for Schools & Chief Executive Education Scotland) and Barry Fisher (Director of DofE Scotland).  Guests also included Carrie Lindsay (Executive Director, Education and Children’s Services) and Phil Black (Head of Education and Children’s Services).
