The new children have been developing self help skills , independence and becoming familiar with the nursery routines.

The children made their own shopping list and used it to buy snack at the shop. They looked at environmental print on their walk looking for familiar letters on street signs. Max was impressed by all the different kinds of bread.

We had a lovely visit to the park to  use the large equipment.

“I liked playing on the climbing frame. ”  Said Lennon.

“I climbed on the swing myself. ” Added Freya proudly.

“I liked having a picnic on the grass.” Said Annabel.

“I played Batman.” Joined in Natan.

Mrs Heggie from Childsmile came to talk to the children about the importance of limiting how often the children come into contact with sugar and reminded them how to correctly brush their teeth. She had a chat with parents looking at the sugar content in foods such as yogurt and smoothies.

Mrs Dickson visited the nursery and talked about her job as a nurse and things that your body needs to stay healthy.

Thank you to Mrs Quinn for bringing baby Macy and Miss Robertson for bringing baby Lucas into nursery to share a learning experience with the children and answer their questions.

 Ben used “Strawberry, banana and yogurt.”

The nursery children and staff would like to thank Mr Dickson for the upgrade to our woodwork bench.

Logan likes the tools. “The saw and the screwdriver are super sharp.”

“It’s quite handy for putting the wood stuff and measuring away.” Said Zac.

The nursery children enjoyed learning about the life cycle of chickens. The chicks have been returned and we received feedback saying how well we had taken care of them.
