The children participated in our family Burns Celebration. This was the first nursery event for our January starters and they did well joining in learning Scottish songs and poetry and making up their own dance.
Jack shared he enjoyed the dance the children designed.
“Dancing around with Adam and Frankie and mummy…tap your head, shoulders, bottoms, marching …dance around with your partners.”
The children shared their knowledge of Scots words and enjoyed trying to work out the meaning of new words.
Ewan said his best song was “Three craws sat upon a wa.”
Thank you to all the families who were able to attend – the children loved when their families joined in the dancing.
Emily described her favourite parts of the celebration.
“When mummy came.”
“Dancing round holding hands and Scottish music.”
” I liked when I was dancing with Carter’s mum.” Aulley shared happily.
