Curricular Policy

Curriculum for Excellence (CfE) represents a different approach to learning in schools and in the way education is delivered in nursery, primary schools, secondary schools, colleges, the workplace and the community.

It takes a new approach to what, how and where young people learn, through less rigid learning paths, with the aim to raise standards, improve knowledge and develop skills by providing a coherent, more flexible and enriched curriculum from 3 to 18 while developing the knowledge, skills and attributes they will need if they are to flourish in life, learning and work, now and in the future.

At Balcurvie Primary School we follow the CfE guidelines as we endeavour to meet the learning needs of all our children through a wide variety of learning approaches which will allow our learners to reach their full potential within and beyond the classroom.

Work Hard. Work as a team. Be resilient. Be caring
