We offer parents updates on their children’s learning twice a year, October and March, through a ten minute discussion in school in the late afternoon and evening. Information about how to book a time has been sent by Groupcall. Every child receives an end of session report in June to state their progress across the curriculum and their next steps in the core subjects.
However, we would always recommend you get in touch with your child’s class teacher if you have any queries about learning or wellbeing before waiting for parents evening. Teachers are also advised to do the same and make contact with parents to address learning or wellbeing. A fuller discussion can be had to decide the way forward. Advice may be taken from the wider team, eg Learning Support, Educational Psychology, Speech and Language Service etc. It may also be decided to have regular individual planning meetings on top of the usual parent interviews to target a specific learning or wellbeing issue. Throughout, parents and the child are consulted and included in the decision making.
