Our school colours are red and black. While we encourage children to wear school uniform we do not want this to be a barrier to attending school. This may be due to financial issues or additional support needs. If this is a concern, please get in touch with the school.
We actively discourage expensive or branded clothing, or clothes that are not appropriate for comfortable learning and activity. Football colours are not permitted, nor are studded boots/shoes.
As a guide, uniform consists of:
– red or black jersey or cardigan
– white shirt or polo shirt
– black/grey trousers, shorts or skirt
– school tie
Uniform with the school badge can be purchased from Alan Santry Uniforms or any school wear outlet/supermarket is acceptable.
Our parent council have set up a pre-loved uniform stand in the school reception should anyone wish to access this. It is free, or you can make a small donation. Lots of parents/children have benefited from this so far.
We are awaiting further guidance from the Scottish Government on school uniform and will align our uniform policy once this is shared.
PE kit
A change of clothing is preferred for strenuous physical activity.
a t-shirt (not crop top)
shorts, leggings, or joggers
gym shoes for use in the main hall
Be aware that we make use of our school grounds for PE as part of our commitment to 2 hours of physical activity – Warm layers are useful in the colder months.
