Here are a couple of links to a couple of documents you might find useful for practicing Close Reading. One is packed with advice about how to approach certain Close Reading question types at Standard Grade, the other is a collection of Credit paper questions from years ago, when dinosaurs walked the Earth. They are arranged in question types and will give you plenty to practice your Close Reading skills with. Of course, you could always simply type “SQA Past Papers” into Google and get more recent papers from there too.
