Description
Kangaroos are marsupials meaning that they give birth to animals and then let them grow further in a pouch and are also macropods.
Diet
A kangaroos diet consists of grass, leaves, nuts, seed, fruits, flowers and tree bark.
Young
Kangaroos take 30 day to give birth to a joey. The red kangaroo leaves the pouch at around 8 months but the grey kangaroo leaves around 11 months.
Habitat
Kangaroos live in desserts, rain forests and rocky mountains in Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Interesting fact
Kangaroos cant walk backwards!
