Description of each course:

Religion, Belief & Values Award

This Award helps learners to deepen their knowledge and understanding of how religion and values can shape and contribute to the lives of individuals and communities. The Award encourages learners to explore and reflect on their personal faith or values, and to deepen their understanding of this through practical engagement in local, national or global communities.

National 5 R.M.P.S

This course aims to enable learners to investigate and explain religious, moral and philosophical questions and responses, make comparisons, and develop the ability to express detailed and reasoned views. As well as the completion of an individually researched assignment, this course will look at a:

  • World Religion: Christianity
  • Moral Issue: Morality & Justice
  • Philosophical Question: Existence of God

Higher R.M.P.S

This course aims to enable learners to investigate, critically analyse and evaluate religious, moral and philosophical questions and responses, and to develop the ability to express detailed, reasoned and well-structured views. As well as the completion of an individually researched assignment, this course will look at a:

  • World Religion: Buddhism
  • Moral Issue: Medical Ethics
