PARENT SURVEY

Dear Parent/Carer,

Braes High School is always keen to hear the view of our parents and carers. In recent sessions, the views of parents/carers have heavily influenced school policy. For example, parents’ views were highly influential in the move towards more qualifications being studied in the senior phase, and the development of the school’s approaches to Tracking and Celebrating Success. To help us form our Improvement Plan for next session, I would be most grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the online survey by Monday 11th March 2019, by clicking the link below. This year’s survey focuses on our core business of learning and teaching. Many thanks for taking the time for this, and for your ongoing support of the school.

As we approach the end of term, on behalf of all Braes I would like to thank all parents/carers and families for their support during 2018. With prelim exams on the horizon for our senior pupils and our junior pupils continuing with their broad, general education courses, school life is as busy as ever. As you may be aware there are a number of events taking place in school this week. Details of these are below :

Art Exhibition – Tuesday 11 December at 6.30pm in the senior social space. All parents/carers are welcome to come along and enjoy the wide variety of art work created by our young people.

  • Christmas Concert – Wednesday 12th December at 7pm. Tickets are available from the school office for this excellent event which will see fabulous musical performances, led by our Music department.
  • Dance Showcase – Thursday 13th December at 7pm. This event will allow the many talents of our young people in dance and cheer to show off their skills. All parents/carers are welcome to attend.

The final day of term is Friday 21st December. Lunch will begin at 12.30pm, with buses arriving for pupils at 12.45pm. There will be an afternoon opening of school at 1.15pm with the school closing at 1.30pm. At 1.15pm any pupils in school should go to the assembly hall to meet with the Senior Management Team.

All at Braes wish you an enjoyable and restful festive break, and look forward to working with you again in 2019.
