P7 Leavers Mass
A special final mass as St Patrick’s pupils, celebrated with our families.
Lockerbie
What a week! P7 had exciting, action packed adventures full of fun, ‘firsts’ and friendships!
Pod Building
We worked in our Lockerbie pod teams to design and build our own pods. We enjoyed this team building exercise and had a chance to chat about our hopes for Lockerbie inside our newly build pods.
Primary 7 Mini Olympics
A fun-filled day was had by all at Primary 7 Mini Olympics!
Home Learning Creations
We used ‘Personalisation and Choice’ when planning for Home Learning this term. P7 decided to challenge themselves to create a model, PowerPoint or visual representation of their chosen natural disaster as part of out IDL Home Learning. We has a lovely morning sharing pupils fabulous efforts and giving peer feedback.
What do you think of our work?
Natural Disasters
P7 explored a variety of natural disasters during term 4’s IDL. We used natural materials to make a natural disaster representation during outdoor learning. Check out our creative representations!
Parents’ Open Morning
We showcased our Science learning during our P7 Parents’ Open Morning. Pupils lead the adults through a variety of science experiments and we all had some fun along the way.
Active Literacy
Writing
For our unsupported writing assessment in term 3 we were asked to write an imaginative story with the title ‘Forest Adventure’. We had a huge variety of exciting stories, some spooky, some magical and some action adventures. We hope you enjoy listening to some of our wonderful, independent writing.
Instructions
While exploring the 35 texts, we took some time to focus on ‘Instructions’. Our favourite part was when we tried our game instructions with our friends. Active Learning is always the best!
Active Literacy
We use our active reading strategies such as; Prior Knowledge, Visualisation, Metalinguistics, Main Ideas, Inference, Paraphrasing and Summarising, to engage with texts. We work hard exploring the 35 texts.
Internet Safety
As part of our on-going internet safety focus, we dedicated a whole day to examining cyber-bullying and netiquette.
Remember kids- keep yourself safe on-line!
