3B-Scenario: Explain the development approaches that could be used to help this person prepare for a future performance
Intro: There are a number of development approaches that could be used to develop the physical and emotional factors in preparation for this performance.
Centreing :One approach that could be used to help me overcome fear is ‘centering’. I used this approach because this allows me to mentally prepare for my performance and be able to manage my fear in preparation for the performance. For example if I was afraid of making a bad pass that gave away a goal I would visualise performing successfully passes and this will help me block out any negative feeling and help my performance. Parking It: I also used ‘Parking it’ to help me manage my anger because this approach helped me to stay focused on the game by forgetting about the situation that had made me angry and continuing with my own game. As a result of using this approach I was able to stay calm and try to get possession of the ball and score a basket to help my team win as I was not still thinking about what had made me angry. |
Repetition Drills: To develop more accurate passing skills in preparation for the performance I used repetition drills because this will allow me to increase my consistency when performing this skill in a game. This will help me as being able to pass accurately will help my team create scoring opportunities.
Conditioned Games: Another development approach I used was conditioned games, making the condition that I could only use 2 touches this helped me to develop my passing and moving skills when under pressure. This helped me in a real game as I was used to the pressure of exciting this skills when being closed down by a defender.
Interval Training: I could also develop CRE through interval training as this will allow me to work at a high intensity for 20-30 min in my training zone and ensure I can maintain a high skill level for the full duration of the game. In this last minute I will be able to break up pitch and score on counter attack.
Team practices help me improve my knowledge of the tactics the team were using as I was able to get used to my role when the team is defending. This allowed me to track my opponent and prevent my team from conceding.
