They provide a quarterly report outlining Falkirk establishment engagement with all of these &#8211; here are the headlines:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>12 Falkirk establishments are actively engaged in the Eco-schools programme &#8211; that = 19% as compared to the national authority average of 29%<\/li>\n<li>78 pupils from 4 classes attended Climate Ready Classrooms training (involving 6 teachers) at the start of this school year.<\/li>\n<li>One or more classes from 7 schools attended live KSB lessons.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0The most popular eco-schools topic choices are Climate action and Biodiversity then Health and Wellbeing.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-758\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/lfsfalkirk\/uploads\/sites\/2215\/2025\/09\/24125544\/Poster-150x150.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Our second <a href=\"http:\/\/www.falkirk.gov.uk\/schoolenergychallenge\">Falkirk Energy Competition<\/a> for secondary schools is underway. Between October 2025 and March 2026, young people and staff in 6 of our 10 secondary establishments are aiming to reduce the amount of electricity used in their buildings. Both of these projects represent learning within our Learning for Sustainability Framework bundle plan 3 &#8211; connecting with culture and heritage.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Young people and staff at<strong> Falkirk High School<\/strong> have calculated and balanced their 2024-25 school carbon footprint\u00a0with the help of the <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/lfsfalkirk\/uploads\/sites\/2215\/2025\/12\/17145808\/OCW-Reducing-N2O-emissions-to-mitigate-global-warming.pdf\"><strong>One Carbon World Grant Fund<\/strong><\/a>.
