This competition will be led by a group of young people in each school who will be supported by a teacher and other staff members.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800080;\"><strong>Prizes:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The school which reduces their unit usage most will receive \u00a32000<\/li>\n<li>For second place it\u2019s \u00a31000<\/li>\n<li>And for third place \u00a3500<\/li>\n<li>There will be other prizes<\/li>\n<li>Prizes will be awarded at a ceremony in May\/June 2025<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The challenge to reduce carbon emissions and energy units\/costs was issued by the Falkirk Council Place Services Extended Management Team. (Lead staff members should sign up via CPD Manager code LfS 6-25).<\/li>\n<li>Each school can have one remote or in-person <strong>lesson for their class or group<\/strong> of young people (just email climatechange@falkirk.gov.uk with 3 potential dates and times).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>We will provide <strong>access to a platform<\/strong> where you can access past, present and real time information about each schools&#8217; energy use.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.falkirk.gov.uk\/schoolenergychallenge\">This webpage<\/a> will include the leader board information and monthly energy use with our Falkirk Learning for Sustainability Framework bundle 1 &#8211; exploring sustainable practices.
