Description
The emu is Australia’s tallest bird reaching between 1.6 m and 1.9 m when standing erect. Adult emus are covered in all itchy fur on their body but their neck and their face is different the fur there is very thin.
Diet
Emus eat different parts of plants like seeds, fruits and flowers they also eat insects when they’re available.
Young
in stead of being all itchy when there born there fur is nice and soft. Emus actually lay eggs and they sit on there eggs for 46-56 days which is quite quick!
Habitat
Emus actually live in a different variety of habitats! They live in tropical woodlands but more likely you could find one in most states of Australia because Australia is there native country.
Facts
Emus are the second largest bird in the the world! The ostrich is the largest!
Emus are one of the flightless birds and so are ostriches!
Emus have two eyes like most things but they use both eyes for different reasons one is for blinking and the other is for keeping dust out!
