Description

The anaconda is dark green with a narrow head and yellow-ochre spots at the sides of its body

Diet

anacondas diet consists of pigs, deer, rodents, caiman, birds, fish and many other animals

Young

anacondas babies are called baby boas. their lifespan is 30 years in a zoo!


Habitat

anacondas live in swamps, marshes or slow-moving streams in the Amazon Rainforest or Orinoco Basins.

Facts

the anaconda is the heaviest snake in the world – but not the longest.

it’s scientific name means “good swimmer” in Latin.

the green anaconda can grow up to 30ft long!
