Elephant

Description

It looks like elephants have rough skin. Some elephants have very big tusks. Their trunks are quite long. Elephants are greyish black.

Diet

Elephants eat: roots, grass, fruit and bark and they eat a huge amount of food each day.

Young

A baby elephant is called a calf. The mother elephant keeps the calf safe by hiding them under her.

Habitat

Elephants are found most often in savannas grasslands and forests but they occupy a wide range of habitats like deserts, swamps and highlands in tropical.

Interesting Fact  

An adult elephant can eat up to 300 pounds of food everyday.
