Play on Pedals

At Glenburn ELC, we are committed to helping our children develop confidence, independence and important physical skills — and Play on Pedals is a wonderful part of this. These fun cycling sessions take place in nursery, without parents present, allowing children to build skills at their own pace in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Children learn how to balance, glide and safely control a bike, gradually gaining the confidence they need to progress from balance bikes to pedal bikes. If families have signed their child up to take part, they will receive regular updates on their progress through Learning Journals, so you can share in their achievements along the way.

One of the highlights of the programme is seeing the pride on children’s faces as they master new skills. Once they have completed the course, each child receives a Play on Pedals certificate to celebrate their hard work and success.

Play on Pedals is a brilliant way to promote outdoor learning, physical development and resilience — all key parts of our ethos at Glenburn.
