{"id":3305,"date":"2021-09-24T11:47:34","date_gmt":"2021-09-24T10:47:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/falkirkearlyyears\/?p=3305"},"modified":"2021-09-24T12:24:34","modified_gmt":"2021-09-24T11:24:34","slug":"lets-talk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/falkirkearlyyears\/lets-talk\/","title":{"rendered":"NEW Blether Sessions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are super excited to expand on our very popular \u2018Blether sessions\u2019 with the introduction of our new informative \u201930 minute updates\u2019 and \u2018QI bite size\u2019 sessions.\u00a0 We hope you agree this is a quick and snappy way of sharing some crucial leadership information with colleagues across the authority.<\/p>\n<p>Our \u201930 minute updates\u2019 are being delivered by our very own Heads of Centre who have a wealth of experience and knowledge on the critical day to day running of an Early Years setting.\u00a0 The sessions share some do\u2019s and don\u2019t on specific areas from \u2018Storing of medication\u2019 to \u2018Safeguarding: safety and security\u2019.\u00a0 There are 8 sessions in total that are spread out over the academic year.\u00a0 Our sessions take place on a Monday from 3.30pm till 4pm.\u00a0 Although these sessions are mostly aimed at senior leaders, they are relevant to staff at all levels within the ELC with sessions on \u2018Infection Prevention and Control\u2019, \u2018Risk assessments\u2019 and \u2018Accident and incident paperwork\u2019 to name a few.<\/p>\n<p>Our QI bite size sessions are delivered by our very passionate Pedagogue Claudette Wright!\u00a0 Again, there are 8 quick and snappy 30 minute sessions that will help raise knowledge and skills around the different aspects of the model for improvement.\u00a0 Over the 8 sessions Claudette will take you through the improvement journey from the \u2018introduction to the model for improvement\u2019 to \u2018PDSAs\u2019 to \u2018a family of measures\u2019! \u00a0The QI bite size sessions are also spread throughout the year from 4pm-4.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>Both our 30 minute updates and our QI Bite size sessions are live on CPD manager but can also be accessed directly through the Blether tile on MST.\u00a0 If you are not already a member of the team then please contact your cluster link with your glow email and they will get you set up.<\/p>\n<p>We are so privileged as an authority to have such amazing staff that are so keen to learn and share their skills and knowledge in so many different and flexible ways.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/falkirkearlyyears\/uploads\/sites\/1373\/2021\/09\/24122331\/PT2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3318 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/falkirkearlyyears\/uploads\/sites\/1373\/2021\/09\/24122331\/PT2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"294\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><big><strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff\">Making Falkirk Proud!<\/span><\/strong><\/big><\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><cite><strong>Learning is a journey, not a destination!<\/strong><\/cite><\/span><\/h3>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff\"><cite><strong>Everybody teach, everybody learn!<\/strong><\/cite><\/span><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are super excited to expand on our very popular \u2018Blether sessions\u2019 with the introduction of our new informative \u201930 minute updates\u2019 and \u2018QI bite size\u2019 sessions.\u00a0 We hope you agree this is a quick and snappy way of sharing some crucial leadership information with colleagues across the authority.
