In Falkirk, staff\u00a0in nurseries\u00a0should use the standards to\u00a0check the quality of\u00a0the service they provide for children and families.<\/p>\n<p>Our nurseries\u00a0should reflect:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dignity<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be treated with dignity and respect at all times; and<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy a full range of social relationships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Privacy<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have your privacy and property respected; and<\/li>\n<li>Be free from unnecessary intrusion.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Choice<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make informed choices, while recognising the rights of other people to do the same; and<\/li>\n<li>Know about the range of choices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Safety<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Feel safe and secure in all aspects of life, including health and well-being;<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy safety but not be over-protected; and<\/li>\n<li>Be free from exploitation and abuse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Realising potential<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Achieve all you can;<\/li>\n<li>Make full use of the resources that are available to you;<\/li>\n<li>Make the most of your life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Equality and diversity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Live an independent life, rich in purpose, meaning and personal fulfilment<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be valued for your ethnic background, language, culture and faith;<\/li>\n<li>Be treated equally and be cared for in an environment which is free from bullying, harassment and discrimination; and<\/li>\n<li>Be able to complain effectively without fear of victimisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; &nbsp; The new Health and Social Care Standards have now been published and will be rolled out from April 2018.
