There are times we need to invest more in self care due to challenges, difficulties or changes we face in our lives.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000\">We need to invest in self care<\/span><\/strong> if helping others who have wellbeing needs is part of our job. This is to keep ourselves as protected as possible from negative consequences of this role and be as effective as possible at this role.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-752\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/epspractitioners\/uploads\/sites\/2864\/2020\/08\/19154440\/NHS-wellbeing-framework.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"804\" height=\"260\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Education Scotland <a href=\"https:\/\/wakelet.com\/wake\/7ae44302-d330-413c-b1b1-7ba25b786c7b\">wakelet on staff health and wellbeing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Forth Valley &amp; West Lothian Regional Improvement Collaborative have provided a graphic with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinglink.com\/scene\/1578701120404979713\">Health and Wellbeing Apps<\/a> that are available.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gtcs.org.uk\/health-and-wellbeing\/\">The General Teaching Council for Scotland Wellbeing Hub <\/a>provides a variety of resources, advice and webinars.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.sssc.uk.com\/wellbeing\/\">The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC)<\/a>\u00a0provides advice and guidance for workforce support and wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>Turas Learn \u2013 the portal provided by NES, NHS Education for Scotland have the following online training modules:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/learn.nes.nhs.scot\/28063\/coronavirus-covid-19\/psychosocial-mental-health-and-wellbeing-support-for-staff\">Covid-19 Psychological First Aid module<\/a>\u00a0(presentation slides are also available\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.nes.nhs.scot\/28064\/psychosocial-mental-health-and-wellbeing-support\/taking-care-of-myself\/psychological-first-aid\">here<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li>Managing wellbeing: a brief (30 minute) module \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.nes.nhs.scot\/29715\/psychosocial-mental-health-and-wellbeing-support\/taking-care-of-your-staff\">Protecting the psychological wellbeing of staff and teams for managers and team leaders<\/a>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Taking care of others:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learn.nes.nhs.scot\/29706\/psychosocial-mental-health-and-wellbeing-support\/taking-care-of-myself\/providing-psychological-first-aid-to-others-key-components\">providing psychological first aid to others key components poster<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Silvercloud Health have made their\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wellbeing.silvercloudhealth.com\/onboard\/nhsscotland\/programs\/\">online CBT modules<\/a>\u00a0on stress, resilience, sleep problems and managing mental health during covid-19 freely available in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>The Educational Institute of Scotland (eis) have teacher\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eis.org.uk\/Member-Support\/HWResource\">health and wellbeing resources<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The World Health Organisation (2020)\u00a0have a booklet you can download called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.who.int\/publications-detail\/9789240003927\">Doing What Matters in Times of Stress<\/a>.
