This resource aims to help practitioners recognise young carers and provides ideas about how they can effectively support them. This resource is a useful reference for whole staff or individual professional learning<\/p>\n<p>Carers Trust (2021). <a href=\"https:\/\/carers.org\/resources\/all-resources\/120-young-carers-in-education-a-resource-on-identifying-and-supporting-young-carers-in-education\">Young Carers in Education A Resource on Identifying and Supporting Young Carers in Education<\/a>. This Education Toolkit is a resource which can help school staff to identify and support young carers in school.<\/p>\n<p>The Scottish Government (September 2025)<a href=\"https:\/\/www.mygov.scot\/help-for-carer\/extra-support-for-young-carers\"> created this information<\/a> for young carers, explaining the legal definition, how to access help at school, and for leaving school.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/centralcarers.org\/carers\/young-carers\/\"><span data-contrast=\"none\">Young Carers &#8211; Falkirk &amp; Clackmannanshire Carers Centre<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0\u00a0 This includes a You Tube video of a Young Carer\u00a0in Falkirk describing the support they get from the Young Carer\u2019s Project.
