If you are planning to engage with children and young people, check for previous engagement on that topic and look at this previous engagement to assist you in considering the different methods that could be used.<\/p>\n<p>NSPCC Learning (2015).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/learning.nspcc.org.uk\/research-resources\/2015\/solution-focused-practice-toolkit\">Solution-focused practice toolkit<\/a>. The toolkit provides inspiration for worksheets and activities to use, adapt or devise for the children and young people you work with. The worksheets and activities are designed to be used with children and young people aged 5-19 years old. Ideally for practitioners who already have some training in solution-focused practice.<\/p>\n<h3>Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS)<\/h3>\n<p>F<a href=\"https:\/\/nhsforthvalley.com\/health-services\/az-of-services\/mental-health-wellbeing\/mh-ld-team-information\/child-and-adolescent-mental-health\/\">orth Valley Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service<\/a>\u00a0includes CAMHS contact details, information about coming to CAMHS, sources of advice for parents &amp; carers and information about Healios Assessment Services.<\/p>\n<p>ThisMayHelp (NHS) website has a short video and advice called\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thismayhelp.me\/how-to-prepare-for-your-childs-first-camhs-appointment\/\">\u2018How to prepare for your child\u2019s first CAMHS appointment\u2019<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Child Protection<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/glowblogs\/fvpp\/child-protection\/\">Falkirk Council and Forth Valley child protection policies, procedures &amp; guidelines<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Education Scotland have provided\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/education.gov.scot\/improvement\/self-evaluation\/domestic-abuse-information-for-educators\/?s=09\">Domestic abuse information for educators.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.daart.scot\/#\/\">Domestic abuse learning resource for professionals<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 \u00a0awareness-raising resource serves as an introduction to domestic abuse and coercive control. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.annafreud.org\/insights\/blogs\/2023\/02\/critical-incidents-how-five-simple-principles-can-help-education-settings-recover-from-potentially-traumatic-events\/\">five key principles that can help recovery<\/a>\u00a0are safe, calm, connected, in control, hopeful. There are resources for supporting children and adults.
