Our aim is to provide a high quality psychology service through consultation for the children and families who require this most, using a knowledgeable and supportive, team approach.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Vision<\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><em>\u201cWe passionately believe in making the children of Falkirk\u2019s lives better. We promote positive educational journeys using the power of psychology and work with parents and others as partners.\u201d<\/em><br \/>\nNovember 2023<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Values<\/h3>\n<p>Falkirk Educational Psychology Service works within the wider council context and those of education. Educational psychology is a specialist discipline and department within the council. We feel that the values that drive our work\u00a0 and help us achieve our vision are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cooperative \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a0to work effectively with parents and professionals<\/li>\n<li><strong>Optimistic \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>to carry curiosity and hopefulness about the power of meaningful change<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ethical \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>to act with integrity and ethically<\/li>\n<li><strong>Learned \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>to be learned and encourage learning in others<\/li>\n<li><strong>Solution-Oriented \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>to assist in finding ways to achieve positive outcomes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>February 2024<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Aim<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Our aim remains to provide a high quality psychology service through consultation for the\u00a0children and families who require this most, using a knowledgeable and supportive, team\u00a0approach.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>How we provide a service<\/h3>\n<p>We can be involved in supporting children and young people from birth to 25 years old. An Educational Psychologist will work with a child and family if there are concerns about the development, learning or behaviour of the child. The service is also focused on improving outcomes for children through training, development work and general advice. We are currently working through a re-design of service delivery.<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3>Online Guidance<\/h3>\n<p>We have published <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/epservice\/resources-draft\/\">resources<\/a> on a range of topics.
