We can work with young people who have not attended school for a significant period of time or who are transitioning to Denny High with high levels of ASN. We will look to build positive relationships which support a reintegration into education.
Pupils attend the Learning Zone P1 and P2 to engage in curricular work in a supportive environment. This is targeted at pupils who are not attending school for any reason; demand is reduced by attending one location in the school whilst accessing a variety of curricular areas, either on Teams or through input from Pupil Support teachers. We would expect this to be a short term intervention with the aim to build up the pupil’s time in school, ultimately with the hope of a return to mainstream classes to support a full curriculum experience.
