We have been collaborating with Kakuma Vocational Center in Kenya. Kakuma is a refugee settlement. Families cannot afford to send their children to school. The Vocational Center educates over 800 refugee children in STEM subjects to prepare them for the world of work. Sadly their building was burned down. We have been considering why we value education so much.

P1 have been reading Malalaโ€™s Magic Pencil and discovered that in some places girls cannot have an education or do the jobs they want. ย We have set up a Flipgrid for children to share their voices about why education is important. We have contributions for children in Canada, India and Kenya so far.
