School transport can be provided for a child who has learning, behavioural or physical difficulties.\u00a0 This request must be made by your child’s school to the ASN Service, who will then make a decision in line with the School Transport Policy.\u00a0 This is available on request.<\/p>\n

Medical transport can also be provided on a short term basis for a child who has an injury that causes mobility difficulties. The school can submit a request for short term transport to the Transport Planning Unit.<\/p>\n

    Please speak with your child\u2019s head teacher or the manager of your child\u2019s school or nursery. They will make your request for you.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Yes. All drivers of school transport vehicles and escorts are vetted under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

    Will school transport run during periods of bad weather?<\/h3>\n
    \n

    The driver will use his\/her judgment about the safety of the roads in bad weather.
