{"id":1193,"date":"2018-05-15T16:29:24","date_gmt":"2018-05-15T15:29:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/LiteracyStrategy\/?p=1193"},"modified":"2018-05-15T16:29:24","modified_gmt":"2018-05-15T15:29:24","slug":"writing-rammy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/LiteracyStrategy\/2018\/05\/15\/writing-rammy\/","title":{"rendered":"Writing Rammy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img_rad buffer_btm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.falkirkcommunitytrust.org\/libraries\/writing-rammy\/images\/writing-rammy-white-logo.png\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Writing Rammy is open to everyone, regardless of age or writing experience \u2013 everyone has a story in them!<\/p>\n<p>Taking part is easy: \u00a0all you need to do is write a short piece of original fiction or poetry on a theme of your choice and email it in.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>About the Writing Rammy<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Simply send your entries to our dedicated email address, with your contact details to\u00a0 <a href=\"mailto:writingrammy@falkirkcommunitytrust.org\">writingrammy@falkirkcommunitytrust.org<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Alternatively typed entries can be handed into any library in the Falkirk district by the closing date.<\/li>\n<li>Your entry should clearly state your name, age, address, tel. no, and email address or your school and form class.<\/li>\n<li>The word limit is 250 words for under 15s, or up to 500 words for 15 and over.<\/li>\n<li>The competition is open now and the closing date is <strong>Saturday 18<sup>th<\/sup> August 2018<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Please read the terms and conditions for the competition at: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.falkirkcommunitytrust.org\/libraries\/writing-rammy\/writing-rammy-rules.aspx\">http:\/\/www.falkirkcommunitytrust.org\/libraries\/writing-rammy\/writing-rammy-rules.aspx<\/a> , or view them\u00a0in your\u00a0local library<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Entries will be judged by a panel from the library service and a winner and runner up will be chosen in each of the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7 and under<\/li>\n<li>8-11<\/li>\n<li>12-14<\/li>\n<li>15-17<\/li>\n<li>18+<\/li>\n<li>Best Family Entry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Winners will be announced mid- September and invited to a special winners&#8217; ceremony on <strong>11th October 2018\u00a0<\/strong>during National Libraries Week.<u><\/u><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Pupil Entries<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If pupils would like to participate, their class teacher can email in several entries at once, but please make sure each entry clearly states the pupil\u2019s name, age and form class.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Writing Rammy is open to everyone, regardless of age or writing experience \u2013 everyone has a story in them!
