RED Book Award<\/h2>\n

The RED (Red Enjoy Debate) Book Award is the annual celebration of reading held in Falkirk Council. We invite all High Schools to participate and share their love of reading by having their say on four shortlisted titles. The Award is aimed at S2 young people and as well as voting for their favourite book, the pupils produce a creative interpretation of one of the shortlisted books and create alternative book covers.<\/p>\n

The shortlisted authors\u00a0 lead writing workshop sessions in the secondary schools and\u00a0 attend the Book Award ceremony in Grangemouth Town Hall. A major highlight of the Book Award process is the fun and energetic award ceremony in May, where pupils from each of the secondary schools in Falkirk Council screen their creative digital interpretations of the shortlisted books, meet the authors and celebrate books and reading.<\/p>\n

We are incredibly proud that 2025\/26 will be the 20th Anniversary of the RED Book Award planning is in progress to make it extra special!<\/p>\n
