Each child took on the role of a villager in the farming community.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/IDLCentral\/uploads\/sites\/1992\/2014\/12\/IMG_0738.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_0738\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-550\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/IDLCentral\/uploads\/sites\/1992\/2014\/12\/IMG_0738.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"236\" height=\"175\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>They helped create a new crop called the Super Berry plant and learned all about the processes and stages involved in\u00a0growing, harvesting and selling\u00a0it.\u00a0Even at early level,\u00a0class teacher Jennifer Main and her colleagues have noticed the impact of this project on pupil understanding of fair trade and global commerce.<\/p>\n<p>The children shared their learning with the many parents and guests who came along to their open afternoon. Jennifer is one of the teachers from Falkirk schools who are\u00a0making excellent\u00a0use of\u00a0their Global Citizenship Storyline training delivered in partnership with WOSDEC over sessions 2013\/14 and 2014\/15.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/IDLCentral\/uploads\/sites\/1992\/2014\/12\/IMG_0736.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"IMG_0736\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-552\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/fa\/public\/IDLCentral\/uploads\/sites\/1992\/2014\/12\/IMG_0736.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"152\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So far everyone involved has\u00a0been very positive about\u00a0the impact of this\u00a0interdisciplinary work.
